1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Sobat, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

2. Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration and traveller profile information.

3. Nature of the Platform

Sobat is a technology platform that connects compatible travellers for shared journeys. Sobat does not provide transport, accommodation, ticket booking, or tour services.

4. Account Verification

Users must complete Email OTP and WhatsApp OTP verification to activate their account. Verified users receive an authenticity badge.

5. Traveller Profiles

Each account may create multiple traveller profiles. Users are responsible for the accuracy of profile details.

6. Journey Creation and Matching

Users can create journeys by entering origin, destination, travel dates, travel mode, and compatibility preferences. Sobat shows matching co-travellers based on these filters.

7. Co-Traveller Requests

Users may send or receive join requests. Once a journey is confirmed, all other pending requests are automatically rejected.

8. Chat and Communication

Chat is enabled only after mutual acceptance of a journey request. Users must maintain respectful communication.

9. Journey Status Lifecycle

Journeys move through Created → Confirmed → In Progress → Completed. The system may automatically mark completion after the end date.

10. Ratings, Feedback, and Trust Score

After journey completion, users may submit ratings and feedback. These contribute to reliability history, behaviour consistency, dispute-free streaks, and trust score calculations.

11. Blocking and Reporting

Users may block travellers and report disputes. The Sobat support team will review reported cases.

12. Safety Disclaimer

Sobat provides only a matching platform and does not verify criminal background or travel behaviour. Users must take personal safety precautions when meeting co-travellers.

13. Prohibited Activities

  • Harassment or abusive behaviour
  • Providing false journey information
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Sharing offensive content in chat

14. Account Suspension or Termination

Sobat may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or compromise user safety.

15. Limitation of Liability

Sobat is not responsible for the conduct or reliability of travellers. Users are solely responsible for their travel decisions and interactions.

16. Privacy

Use of Sobat is governed by our Privacy Policy.

17. Modifications to Terms

Sobat may update these Terms periodically. Continued use indicates acceptance of revised terms.
